“Why does that manual warn to not use distilled water? I have always used distilled water with my previous coffee maker.”

• I can only reason that the manual says not to use distilled water because this type of water is more acidic, and it would wear out parts of the coffee maker sooner. On the other hand, tap water would leave more Calcium deposits. We use filtered water from our water dispenser on our refrigerator, then we descale about every 3 months.
