Make sure your tablet's Bluetooth is turned on and that the keyboard Bluetooth is on as well. the tablet should pick up the keyboards Bluetooth and you should be able to start typing.

Please try again later.You probably already know this by now, since your question is 7 months old, but if not, FIRST - make sure the keyboard case is fully charged, using the charging cable that came with the Kindle Fire HD 10. Then refer to the instructions that came with the keyboard/case. If no instructions available, first insert the tablet into the case and extend it open. On the tablet, go to "Settings" and select Wireless>Bluetooth. Turn Bluetooth on and select "Pair a Bluetooth Device." Choose "Fire HD 10 Keyboard." Once pairing is complete, open "Settings" and select "Keyboard & Language". Under Physical Keyboard select "Fire HD 10 Keyboard>Set Up Keyboard Layouts>English (US)". When complete, hit the BACK arrow to return to "Settings". That's it - good luck!
