“how does the bracket that holds the microwave work? I'm having it installed under over cooktop but directly under an upper cabinet (replacing current "hood" with this microwave. I need to see exactly how that bracket goes on the back wall. Tks”

It is a sheet metal (probably stamped steel) wall plate that holds the unit against the wall. This plate needs to be screwed into the studs via the provided lag screws. There are also bolts provided that drop down from the top inside the cabinet that hold the microwave up. Pretty standard and straight forward installation, took my brother and I about 30-45 minutes total.
