“I would like to purchase this low profile KitchenAid microwave but want it installed with top outside venting which I already have on my existing microwave setup. Do I need to buy an adapter for top outside venting?”

Sep2020, page 2 of the Installation Instructions advise if using a rectangular to round transistion piece while page 4 advises of roof venting. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I’m not sure I understand your question. I did not need an adapter for my install. The installer took down my old over the range microwave and put this one up. It vents upwards not outward. Hope that helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It already has the opening in place on top that joins with the duct. The installer just has to remove the cover plate and make a couple adjustments with the vent plates on top in the front that are used if venting back into kitchen.
