“Can my cabinets be 14" deep or they have to be the standard 12"? My main concern is for the circulating feature that sits on the top front edge of the microwave not to be blocked by a 14" deep cabinet.”

It will place the front of your cabinet near the vent but not blocking it. That could lead to a film build up on the front of the cabinets above the unit. May not be a problem at all as the vents do direct the air toward the front of the unit and away from the cabinet.
