“Just ordered this microwave from a local appliance store. It will be mounted under a cabinet, over a new kitchen aid range, on an island. Is the back of the microwave “finished” so that it looks ok from the back? The dealer could not answer my question.”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You will need some sort of finished panel to put on the back of the cabinet. Mine mounts against a wall and there is a metal mounting bracket that is needed to rest the bottom of the back of the microwave on. Only the front of the microwave is supported by bolts from the upper cabinet. There is no way to mount the microwave without the support of a back wall. The installation instructions require that the back mounting bracket be bolted to at least one wall stud. Hope this works out for you. I'm really liking the look and performance of the microwave.
