• it can vent either outside or just use the recirculating option (which is how it is setup out of the box). This is how we are using it and it works well with a gas range and cooking on the grill of our range,

• Top and wall venting possible to outside. Can also recirculate vent.

• I'm not really sure what you mean by 'venting', but this over-the-range microwave has a built-in fan with multiple speeds that draws air in through the bottom and discharges out the top.
