If you want a counter top model, they are actually cheaper, more attractive and space efficient and that's what you should be focusing on. Over the range microwaves are only designed for over the range mounting. For starters, the power cord comes out of the top of the cabinet and it's top and sides aren't finished. Not a good look. Plus this beast is nearly 30" wide and will gobble up an awful lot of counter space. Also, as others have said, the bottom mounted exhaust intake and lighting would be rendered useless.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe it can only be mounted. You may be able to install legs on the four corners to lift it off the counter.

Placement on the counter top will prevent use of these features. A mounted microwave also prevents little children from trying to use the microwave, which makes the mounting a safety childproof feature also.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello, this Microwave cannot be placed on a countertop. If you have any further questions or concerns please view the Installation Instructions. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is really designed to be mounted only. The underside of the unit has lights and vents and therefore is uneven and would not sit on a counter top evenly and there not any legs or anything that come with the unit to convert it for use on a counter top.
