A:AnswerSonny, if installing the drain hose to plumbing lower than 20" above the sub-floor or floor, make sure to use an air gap. For more information, please see page 8 of the Installation Instructions: https://www.kitchenaid.com/content/dam/global/documents/201607/installation-instructions-W10806906-RevE.pdf .
A:AnswerHello! You can adjust the height of the dishwasher height to as low 33 1/2 by removing the legs. Thank you for your inquiry on our KitchenAid appliances.
A:AnswerOurs is quite level. If your dishwasher has two levelers in the front, you should simply level it. If it is leaning forward, than the levelers need to be let out to raise the front height. Sagging in the front that can't be solved by basic screw-post leveling can be a major issue, like your base floor is higher than your finished floor. You can't put levelers in place of the wheels, that would actually make it harder to install and level - I've done a few of these and they are a real pain - but four levelers have been the traditional way for decades. Wheels on a true flat floor are much easier. I am very concerned that your plumber can't figure it out. It is a very common feature of modern mid-to-high-end dishwashers. Is he/she licensed and experienced? From a reputable plumbing company? Before I try anything else, I would look for a second opinion.

A:AnswerMy brand new 1 wk old Model:KDTE334GPS doesn't dry well either. My old Bosch did condensation drying and it was always dry. This Pro Dry doesn't work well at all. Plus door won't latch and makes thumping sound.
A:AnswerI have only had the unit installed for less than one month, so I haven't had to clean the filter; however, at the store, the salesman told us to make a routine of cleaning the filter out once each month (with normal usage), more often if necessary. At the store. it only took him a few seconds to demonstrate, where and how to remove the filter and clean it out AND reinstall the filter into the dishwasher. So I am fully expecting roughly the same time requirements as was shown to me in the store. The dishwasher which this new KitchenAid replaced also ground up the food waste, and I like you never had to clean out the filter but did have to have the pipe, which drained into the main, replaced about six months ago because it was fully clogged, MAYBE from the ground up food particles being flushed thru the dishwasher over the years?
A:AnswerHello artist! Because appliance life depends heavily on the environment and conditions under which it is used, we cannot effectively say how long an appliance will last.
A:AnswerThe KitchenAidTeam has replied above that there is NO heater. But they contradict that in an answer to another question for this model as follows:
"...there are two drying options. The first is Extended ProDry-Dries dishes with heat and a fan. This option, with the use of rinse aid, will provide the best drying performance. Plastic items are less likely to deform when loaded in the top rack. Turn the ProDry™ option off for an air dry. The second is Extended Heat Dry- Dries dishes with heat. This option, with the use of rinse aid, will provide the best drying performance. Plastic items are less likely to deform when loaded in the top rack. Turn the Heat Dry option off for an air dry."

A:AnswerStandard cabinet depth is 24" with a typical countertop overhang of an additional inch. The appliance depth with the handle is 27" so the handle will likely extend 2" beyond your countertop.
A:AnswerHello Barb! We can only recommend what is stated in the Installation Instructions for proper installation of the unit. Thank you for your inquiry on our KitchenAid appliances.
A:AnswerHi brat, the KDTE334GPS will open the detergent dispenser several minutes after the cycle starts, we do not have an exact time as certain cycle options may change the number. We suggest if you need to add a dish, open the door, let the spray arms stop spinning and check the dispenser, if the detergent has not yet been released you can add dishes, but if it is open, you will need to wait until the next cycle as it may not be cleaned.
A:AnswerI would not recommend washing fine china or fine crystal glasses (Stemware) in ANY dishwasher. Especially if the fine china and crystal glasses have a gold trim or if the china and crystal glasses are old or antique. Hand washing with a mild detergent is always the safest option for cleaning fine china and crystal glasses to prevent damage to fine details.
