We have had this for one week, and so far, no pre-rinse required for some fairly dirty dishes and silverware. Very quiet as well; we’re happy with our purchase.

You still don't want to put food in your dishwasher cuz it will go down and clog up your filter. It's best to remove any food residue before putting them in any dishwasher. This is also an exceptionally quiet dishwasher.
