A:AnswerWe have had this for one week, and so far, no pre-rinse required for some fairly dirty dishes and silverware. Very quiet as well; we’re happy with our purchase.
A:AnswerHi Rachellebis. To turn on Lock, press and hold heated dry for 3 seconds. Control Lock light will stay on, indicating that it is activated and all buttons are disabled. If you press any button while your dishwasher is locked, light flashes 3 times. Dishwasher door can still be opened/closed while controls are locked. To turn off Lock, press and hold heated dry for 3 seconds. Light turns off.
A:AnswerHello! While the actual water heater is responsible for heating water before it enters the dishwasher, the heating element is a supplemental tool that serves several different purposes. Most modern-day dishwashers operate at a temperature between 130 to 170 degrees Fahrenheit. Water entering the dishwasher has an average temperature of 120 degrees Fahrenheit, which may or may not properly sanitize the dishes. The heating element, however, warms the water up by an additional 10-15 degrees; thus, effectively killing harmful bacteria and germs. In addition to killing bacteria, the dishwasher’s heating element serves a second purpose: to encourage faster and more efficient drying times.
A:Answermahnaz, thank you for your interest in KitchenAid. In order for the Dishwasher to be integrated, you will need to purchase a panel ready Dishwasher. The Dishwasher KDTE204KPS is not a panel ready Dishwasher. Hope this help.
