A:AnswerI had this error code for this same dishwasher. My technician used a bucket to add water to inside of the dishwasher and then ran it on drain mode (you press the drain button and then close the door - it's a 2 minute cycle). Since the water was able to drain just fine, this indicated that the diverter pump was working fine and that there was no blockage in my drain pipes. Therefore, by process of elimination, the technician decided that it must be the control board. He wanted close to $400 to fix it, but I was able to repair it myself. I watched a 5-minute video on youtube that showed how to access the control panel. Figured I could do it myself in around a half hour, and it turns out I was right. (note: the video turned out to be for a different Kitchenaid model, but it was similar enough).
I bought a 2nd hand control board on ebay for ~$60. The description of it was: NWOB KITCHENAID DISHWASHER CONTROL BOARD PART # W11049287 REV G W11410858
You will also need torq screwdriver set.
Once I swapped out the board and installed the new one, I was back in business! Ten minutes into the cycle and still no error code. It brought a huge grin to my face. It's been running daily for the past two weeks and my wife has never been so impressed. But it really wasn't that hard.
A:AnswerYou'll eventually see the color of the rinse aid when it's full. I wondered the same thing because it accepted a lot more rinse aid than my old dishwasher.
A:Answer1) There is an option to only wash the top 2 racks, so yes on small loads.
2) The express wash takes about an hour. The heavy duty prowash with heated drying is roughly 3 hours.
A:AnswerHave you noticed any floor damage due to steam? We have natural wood floors and this is a big concern for me before purchasing this dishwasher. The Moisture Barrier Kit 4396277 suggested by the Kitchen Aid Admin in this thread seems to be for cabinets above a dishwasher, not intended to stick to a floor.
A:AnswerHello Billie, it could be many factors, such as if the handle is different, specific options, etc. It could also be that this specific model is made for this specific depth. We hope this helps.
A:AnswerHello DishesNotClean! We are sorry to hear this. You can reset the appliance by unplugging for a complete minute or shutting off at the breaker for one minute. Thank you for your inquiry on our KitchenAid appliances. .
A:AnswerMy old Kenmore lasted 20 years and had all those features. I wish I would have repaired it instead of buying the new junk. Some do not even dry the dishes. You have to leave the done open so they will air dry after they are washed.
