I have a different older model Kitchen-Aid dishwasher that makes a humming sound sometimes when I close the door, so I just click the cancel button when I hear the noise and it stops.

We have a similar hum/noise.
We had ours installed a week ago. The last time we ran it (at midnight) we heard a fan-like noise the next morning. We had ProDry selected but not the extended pro-dry.
I came looking to see if anyone else noticed this noise. 

it does sound like a fan still spinning. all our dished (except large concave pools on plastics or a metal basket underside) were complexly dry though.

We just got the machine and it behaves the same.  I would rather that it shut off without having to open the door.
