“Can the bottom rack silverware holder be opened at the top and left open during the cleaning cycle? Specifically I'd like to know if it can be uncovered to hold wider items during the wash cycle without using the spacer.”

• We removed the cover on the silverware holder because our silverware would not fit in the slots. Works great without it
