“How much noise does this make? Is there a quieter mode in the KitchenAid lineup?”

• i'm not severely sensitive to noise, however, I can hear when it clicks on and then clicks off. Not a big deal for me, anyway.

• Can't tell you about the quietness level of other KitchenAid models, but we have had this model for a few weeks and it is actually much quieter than the Kenmore it replaced. The ice and water dispenser is a little loud, but that is only temporary. I had read some of the reviews that stated this model was loud, but we have not experienced that at all. We are really enjoying our purchase and could not be happier!!
