The outside dimensions are 13"wide x 10.5" deep x 34" tall. It fit in our kitchen with 9' ceiling and didn't need the extension that you have to/ can order separately. We bought this model because the hole in our drywall ceiling was large for the vent and this was one of the widest column models we could find. We love it and would recommend.

The hood is 24" in height for the shaft.
