Hi Surky, We would recommend to check the filter area in the bottom of the unit. If there is build up we would recommend to clean that and if it still happens we would recommend to contact KitchenAid customer service. We hope this helps.

Please try again later.We have had 3 different reasons for the dishwasher not pumping out: First time the pump failed because of a calcium build up, according to the repairman. We are on a city water system. The second failure was a clogged garbage disposer. A bean dish was poured into the disposer and clogged the dishwasher port with beans. Had to pull the dishwasher hose off the disposer and clean the dishwasher port out. We use the garbage can for everything now. The third failure was a leaking dishwasher fill valve. The dishwasher would pump out, but the next day, water nearly covered the heating element.
