When you try to use the convection feature, it prompts you for the conversion temp and time. You can't get around it.

It is not (forced) convection only, it is both natural convection (without the fan driving the hot air) and forced convection (fan blowing the hot air inside). When using forced convection, the display will ask if you want to convert the recipe, you type in the regular recipe and it'll convert the time and temp for you on the fly.
