“Have to have downdraft vent. Why is this never included in description or specs? I will not buy a separate exhaust, nor will I block my open concept with a hood that should not be needed.”

This doesn't have a downdraft. The reason it isn't in the description is b/c they make few of them anymore. Best Buy doesn't carry them YET. I know, because I've been looking for one as well. Kitchenaide and Jenn Air are the only manufacturers I've found that make them. Best Buy (and I went into the store) said they wouldn't have and couldn't order them until they have the stock from Pacific Sales. This was in SF Bay Area.
