• Hi Concerned. It may take 20-25 minutes to reach 400°F.

• Unlike what someone else answered, it doesn’t take anywhere close to 20 minutes to preheat. Usually about 5-7 minutes.

• We owned this range a few years ago in another house. I now want another one for our current house. Never did it take 20 minutes to preheat either oven. Maybe 5-8 minutes, tops.

• This is not an answer, but a followup question. WHAT ARE DESIGNERS THINKING? How can it take 20 minutes for a small oven to preheat? I recently bought a new Whirlpool double oven and sent it back when the top oven took 11 minutes. My old Maytag Gemini top oven took only 2 minutes to heat to 350 and I am sure no longer than 3 for 400.

• I had an electric oven with the extra smaller oven on the bottom & the smaller 1 took FOREVER to pre-heat!
