• Hi Tigger3, There should be no smells when cooking and the interior has a ceramicoat coating on the walls.

• No smells that I've noticed. I'm not sure about coatings, but there don't seem to be any of those either.

• The first time you fire it up, it will burn off what ever is coated on the metal. that should talk about five-ten min, once that is done, you won't have any issues.. Then you can start using it to bake, toast or ?
