I would say no. It's more for mixing/blending and breaking down softer things to that end.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Probably not. I haven't tried but I get a large block of parmesan to grate on a hand grater. Parmesan is a rather hard cheese and this tool is a blender not a grater. Don't think it would work, you would just snap chunks of cheese off.
