Are the burnished beaters dishwasher safe? null

They say that they are "not dishwasher safe". But, I have thrown mine in the dishwasher for over a decade and it still works great. Aluminum tends to oxidize so there will be a slight change in the looks of the coloring. It sometimes leaves a very light mark on my hands when I touch it. It does not leave any coloring in anything I mix.
