“If mixing something smaller could I drop a hot pad in the 5 qt bowl and then place a smaller bowel inside the 5 qt bowl or would the "beaters" be in the wrong position?”

• Hi Ginger, KitchenAid does not recommend placing a small mixing bowl as it will cause damage to the unit.

• The beaters stay very close to the side of the bowl when mixing, another bowl inside of the main bowl would not work.
