• Yes it does. It goes to standby soon after the signal is removed.

• yes it does. This has an auto sense feature, and as long as you don't have cheap cables it works correct. Cheap cables can put some sound into the cable and it will turn on with them.

• Yes. The power switch on the back of the sub has 3 settings: On (always on), Off, and Auto (automatically switches on when a signal is detected and automatically switches off when there is no signal for a few minutes).
