Do I really need a subwoofer with these, or is the bass response and "punch" enough? I would normally add a sub regardless, but space is limited, especially to keep wires hidden. For reference, this system is normally used for tv shows and music. Thanks null

The R-600F II have a wide frequency response (range) and a decent amount of bass response. It is typically recommended to pair speakers with a sub to get more deep bass response, but by no means is this required! These towers should sound great as a stand-alone setup.

The Base in these speakers are more than enough.
