There is not a magnet on this wallet/phone cover to keep it closed and if you drop the phone, it may or may not fall on the screen, as the wallet does not stay closed!

The magnet on the wallet does NOT keep it securely closed and will NOT stay close if you drop it. It also will not stay completely closed, to allow the LED display to be activated, if you have a Samsung wireless charger that props your phone up.

Yes, it has a magnet, but it doesn't keep it shut and it will definitely open if you drop the phone. If you use the pocket for credit cards be prepared for it to scratch and smug your screen as well. Basically, ruining it.

There is a sticker that indicates there is a magnet but the case does not stay closed. I think it's more to turn off the screen when you close the case rather than a latch mechanism.

There is a magnet, but it is used only to wake the phone when the cover is opened. The cover just lays flat when it's closed but isn't secured. I was initially concerned by this but it's not a problem for me. It's a very well made and good looking accessory for the Galaxy S10.
