There is a 30-day trial of McAfee Virus Protection Software installed on this model. It will activate automatically with the initial activation of Windows 10, then protect your computer for the 30-day trial period. At the end of the 30-days, you can: purchase a subscription to McAfee virus protection software, or, uninstall McAfee and use the free Windows Defender Virus Protection Software that is installed on this computer as part of Windows 10, or, you can choose your own 3rd party virus protection software, uninstall McAfee, then install your choice of Virus Protection Software. The key is to uninstall McAfee if you will not be using McAfee as there can only be one activate virus protection software on the computer at a time.
