• You should be able to expand the ram of the laptop, but within the bios there is no xmp setting so you cannot change to the advertised speed of the ram. This might change in later bios updates but I could not get that setting to change

• no you will need SODIMM ram i got a 32GB kit for mine. was around 80$ as of 8/26/2023
