• Yes, there are lights on the display. However, you can turn the lights off on the display by pressing the "Display Off" button. This will turn off all of the display lights except the Check Filter Indicator.

• Yes it does, you can use it as a night light but it does have the option to turn every light and button off in case you want total darkness. You can do it manually or with the app.
