The filters are typically estimated to last about 6 months, with the lifespan depending on the current air quality as well as how often the unit is run. There are also a few models (such as the Core 400S) in which the filters are estimated to last up to 1 year. You may or may not see buildup on the filters themselves. In some cases, they may look very grey or dusty—in others, the particles may be microscopic and not visible to the naked eye. Either way, it is encouraged to change the filters after about 6 months of use or at your discretion.
