Hi, Unlike many products on the market, OBLIO has not only been designed with beauty in mind but ensuring that there is no danger at all during its use. Oblio has passed all the certifications when it comes to security and got the EPA certification as well. The UV-C light placement and the way it's pointing towards the phone screen in direction of the bottom of the vase-like product prevent from contact with the eyes. Thank you
