“Is it normal to be hot inside the microwave after 1 minute used ? I just got my new LG 1.1Cu.Ft. siting in a cabinet 25'' W, 17'H,and 17"D. Looks like it fits perfect with enough space around .Is that enough space for ventilation ? I tested 2 times for 1 minute each time ,but when I open the door it feels hot inside the microwave. Is it normal ? I decide not to use it until I'll get a answer . I'll appreciate a feedback .”

I had this problem with LG microwave. It was mounted above the stove and had lights to illuminate the stove top. I found that when I left the lights on, the inside of the microwave cabinet would get quite warm. When I turned off the lights it would cool down.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Heat from the food being heated will make the interior seem "hot" or at least warm when the microwave is first opened. That air escapes quickly and you can feel the walls or floor if you still think it is heating itself. I can test the heat of the food by simply putting my hand over the food but maybe an inch away.
