• I have to remove the glass dish and then remove the hard plastic insert that rotates the dish. Replace dish and heat your food. I can find no other way to disable turntable function.

• I agree with you. The turntable function can not be turned off. Buy the more costly LG microwave (about $430) if you need that function.
