Yes, you can vent up through a duct through your roof, or it can vent out without a duct. Either way will work.

Convection Over-the-Range Smart Microwave with Sensor Cooking and Air Fry - Stainless Steel, Model # MHEC1737F, can be vented in one of three ways: Roof venting, Wall venting or Room venting (aka recirculating mode). The microwave oven is shipped with its blower assembled for room venting. You will need to adjust the blower if you want wall-venting or roof-venting installation. The ductwork you need for outside ventilation is not included with the oven. If you have an existing duct that is round, you must use a rectangular-to-round adapter, with a rectangular 3" extension duct installed between the damper assembly and the adapter to prevent the exhaust damper from sticking. The total length of the duct system, including straight duct, elbows, transitions, and wall or roof caps must not exceed 140 feet. For the best performance, do not use more than three 90-degree elbows, and keep the length as short as possible....^Ivan.
