• The LG 1.7 cu. ft. Over-the-Range Microwave Oven with EasyClean®, Model # LMV1764ST has to be mounted against a flat, vertical wall, so it is supported the wall and it should also be secured to the bottom of an upper cabinet that can both meet a 150lbs weight requirement, plus the weight of any items you place inside the oven or upper cabinet. This is to prevent the screws from stripping out from your wall from the weight of the microwave and any items that you place in the microwave. That is likely to happen if you do not have upper cabinets to spread the weight evenly...^IFV
