The exhaust fan is for the range below the unit and has multiple speeds. It can exhaust outside (requires additional parts) or recirculated through filters. Inside the microwave there isn’t a separate exhaust fan, in fact there are sensors to detect steam that maybe used to automatically warm and heat food properly. The sound of an exhaust fan that I thought you referenced could be the sound of the magnetron, in this unit it is quieter but still powerful.

ExtendaVent 2.0 Over-the-Range Microwave with Sensor Cooking, Model # LMHM2237BD, you will need to turn the vent fan on or turn it on to disperse steam or smoke under the hood. If the microwave is cooking, the vent fan turns on automatically if the sensors detect too much heat from the cooktop. This is normal, and is designed to prevent microwave component damage...^IFV
