Hello there. Thanks for reaching out. LG doesn't recommended you put your LG Refrigerator in the garage. Unless you live in a climate with consistent year-round temperatures and they fall within the manufacturer-recommended range of temperatures for running the appliance, using a regular fridge in the garage is a bad idea. If the temperature inside your garage regularly exceeds 110ºF, it is not an ideal location for a refrigerator. Sweltering conditions can cause a refrigerator to burn out from overuse. LG doesn't make Refrigerators for garage usage. `Jai.

If your garage stays above 50°F most of the night then this model would be fine. For example, dipping a little below 50°F for about an hour or two at night should be okay. But if it's 48°F all night long, the sensors can be fooled into thinking that the refrigerator interior is cold enough and not turn on. As a result, the freezer will warm up and food will thaw.
