- Answer Yes. Get an adapter with EXTEND Mode. If the adapter is cheap ($19), you’re only getting Mirror Mode. Spend the extra for Extend Mode.

QuestionIs this monitor compatible w/ Cable TV box? I've purchased others with HDMI & VGA inputs and they work with the web/email programs and browsers, but when we change the "input" for the TV it's not producing the TV visuals. If not, can you recommend?

- Answer Hi, A brightness of 200 cd/m² means that the object is emitting light at a level of 200 candelas per square meter. This is a measure of how bright an object appears to the human eye. 250 cd/m2 is a typical brightness and enough for most conditions. You might need to use curtains or blinds in rooms with large windows.^Vanessa

- Answer The LG representative on the Best Buy website did not answer my question of: "Does this LG Monitor use a true 8-Bit Panel or does this LG Monitor use a Panel based on "6-Bit plus FRC" technology?" I have found the answer, though. The reason why LG dodged this question is because this monitor uses the inferior "6-Bit plus FRC" technology rather than the higher quality "True 8-Bit" technology.

QuestionWhy does LG offer a warranty of only 1 Year, while some LG's competitors offer a warranty of 3 Years? This indicates companies such as LG, Dell, and Samsung do not have faith in their products the way other companies have faith in their products.

- Answer That's okay. I bought the Acer monitor instead, because Acer offers a 3-Year Warranty. I realize I can spend a lot of money buying an "Extended Warranty" with the LG product, but that is money I don't need to spend at all if I buy other brands such as Acer. Rather than spending the money on an "Extended Warranty," I can use that money to buy a better monitor.
