I couldn’t figure out how to have the TV automatically open to the home screen (which I believe is what you are wanting). What I ended up doing was attaching a $10 HD Antenna (which btw is providing me with about 12 HD channels). Now when I turn on the TV it opens on the last TV channel that was tuned in instead of the loud blank/static tv screen. I’d be interested to see if anyone else responds with another solution, but for now, this is working for me.

Please contact our Support Center at (800) 243-0000 for assistance with how to set the LG 24 Inch Class HD Smart TV (23.6'' Diag), Model # 24LM520S-WU so it is not on a blank screen that shows static. The TV does not have built-in apps so it cannot be set to show a page of streaming aps...^IFV
