“What is "Condensation Drying"? How well does this unit dry dishes?”

• I'm not sure what it means, but I can tell you I replaced a 21 year old dishwasher with this model and i do surely miss my old one. This unit will NOT dry your dishes at all without a rinse aid such as Jetdry. I washed 2 loads without using a drying rinse aid, and i also pushed the"extra dry" button...they came out soaking wet. I called LG, they said you cannot go without a drying rinse agent. I sure wish the sales people at Best buy told me. I would have looked for an old fashioned dishwasher that still uses heating coils to help dry along with the optional rinse aid. I have tried a load with a rinse aid, and it was much better.

• We use the extended night dry everytime and dishes are always dry. Uses the heat in dishwasher to dry not a separate heating ring.

• This dishwasher is crap when it comes to "drying" dishes. Takes a 3 hour cycle! just to have everything come out wet. Just put new cabinets into the kitchen and they're now starting to smell like mold, as nothing is dry even on the "night cycle". Avoid! Get a dishwasher with a heating element for drying. Mistake to have purchased.

• When we first tried the different drying options we noticed the dishes were still wet. Then we got some jet dry and that has helped tremendously. Def recommend this dishwasher

• This washer takes 3 hours to do a full load of dishes. Part of the time is for drying. I keep it on extra dry cycle. So far the washer has performed well and the dishes are clean and dry. It is also advisable to use an rinse aid to help with cleaning and drying.
