When my dishwasher was installed the person installing said that the hose is bigger and so it has to switch out further. It is just slightly out so that you can see the top controls.

Please try again later.My counter depth is 24-1/2" but the dishwasher opening may be deeper because it's actually the space between two cabinets that is bridged by the counter. However, the unit is not flush with my cabinet front. It extends 7/8" but my drawer fronts are not flush either so it looks fine.
