“Can the display be turned Off? I do not want to see “E-ARC” on the display while watching a movie. Is there a way to set it so it’s only “On” when changing volume or source only and then disappear?”

According to LG's support center it cannot and there is no timetable to fix this issue. It is solidly my least favorite part of this product and is very upsetting that they don't show it in any of the product pictures.
