• There is not hardware provided with the TV to facilitate wall mounting nor any brackets on the TV to support a Soundbar. ^Daphane

• Yes, you need a separate mount for the sound bar. We purchased it, but decided we preferred to place the sound bar on our stand underneath the tv. We were able to return the mount but, the installers advised we needed a special cable which is actually more expensive than the mount.
