• It can lay flat in front of the tv. The soundbar comes with wall brackets only if you choose to mount it.

• I have mine sitting on the TV stand. Mounting hardware is included but not necessary. Subwoofer looks like it could lay sideways. It has a lower plug on the back, other than that it's Bluetooth connected.
