“I have a LG3C OLED TV; hooked my Panasonic Sound bar via Optical cable;The speakers turn off on their own;The box they are hooked to doesn’t turn off just the speakers;The sound from the TV is fine; have to turn box off then on and sound comes back on. ??”

Optical just transmits the audio. You may want to consider using the ARC connection in order to facilitate the auto on/off features.
