Hi there, Jack. Thank you for your question about connecting your LG 3.1 Channel Soundbar to your LG 65" Class C3 Series OLED TV. To ensure sound is transmitted correctly via HDMI ARC, make sure the soundbar is connected to the HDMI ARC port on the TV. Enable the HDMI ARC feature in the TV’s sound settings, and set the audio output to HDMI ARC. Once set up, test the sound using either remote. If you continue to experience issues, please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport for further assistance. We’re here to help! —Avril
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Have Geek Squad connect everything - they become responsible to ensure it works even after installation. You can also try looking at the settings. The ARC lets the sound bar talk to the tv and tv talk back. If you move the plug i to the TV only HDMI (no ARC) it will only send sound to the soundbar .
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you have other HDMI devices connected they can interfere, it's a cec issue that plagues most TV's, I have up switched to optical and thankfully my LG tv can still control the sound bar volume with the TV remote over optical.
