What do you have the LG 32 inch Class 720p Smart HD TV (31.5'' Diag), Model # 32LM570BOUA connected to? Are you using an antenna or do you have it connected to a set-top box from your cable service provider? If you have it connected to a set-top box from a cable service provider, how do you have it connected to the set-top box? Are you connected via HDMI or via the F-Type 75-Ohm coaxial connector in the back of the TV labeled 'Antenna/Cable In'?. If you are connected to the F-Type 75-Ohm coaxial connector on the TV to the coaxial connector on your set-top box, you will only get an SD (Standard Definition) picture which will not fill the screen up as you have described. You will need to connect the TV via HDMI which will give you an HD picture with an Aspect Ratio of 16:9 which is what the TV screen's Aspect Ratio is & will fill the screen from edge to edge. You also need to make sure that the settings in your set-top box, if you're using one, are set to output an HD output with a 16:9 Aspect Ratio. Check to make sure that the Aspect Ratio in the TV's settings menu are also set for a 16:9 Aspect Ratio...^IFV
