The Operation section on page 26 of your owner's manual describes the Cubed Ice button on the control panel as a button you can press and hold for three seconds  turn the Cubed Ice maker on/off and the Cubed Mini Ice as a button you can press and hold for three seconds  turn the Cubed Mini Ice maker on/off...^Ivan

If the light is lit then it is on.

Your on/off is in fact the "cubed ice" feature on the inside right panel. Leave it on, unless on vacation ;-)
