Installed this fridge yesterday.  The door alarm is great.  Can easily be heard.

Alarm is quiet. Can hear it in the kitchen, but not much further (unless one has "mother ears". However, it does sound when doors are open a very short time - estimate less than 20 seconds.

The door alarm will sound every 30 seconds if the door remains open longer than one minute.
